C2X, C and O1 Class 0-6-0 locos in 1960 to 1962
The three classes shown here survived just long enough for me to take photos of them between 1960 and 1962. Most with an old Brownie 127 which was not really suitable for such technical subjects! But one or two have come out reasonably well. | /||

Photo of O1 Class 0-6-0 31065 at Tonbridge on June 10th 1961 after arrival on the 16.58 Dover Priory to Tonbridge. The 01 was doubledhead with Schools Class 30934 from Ashford to Tonbridge to take it's part in a railtour on the 11th June. A tour commemorating the last weekend of main line steam in Kent. That latter loco from above, O1 Class 0-6-0 31065, has survived into preservation. Seen here exiting Sharpthorne Tunnel and passing the former West Hoathly station on the 14.00 ex Sheffield Park on 10th August 2007 A C Class 0-6-0 has also survived, and here 31592 is heading away from Sheffield Park station on the Bluebell Railway on 25th April 2009.
